These Terms of Service govern your use of Kontab ("the Service"), operated by Solèy Technologies Ltd., a technology company incorporated in Saint Lucia in 2026, with its principal place of business at Cas En Bas, Gros Islet, Saint Lucia.

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Use of the Service

You may use the Service for lawful business purposes only. You are responsible for ensuring that your use complies with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction, including laws relating to financial record-keeping and data protection.

2. Account Registration

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

3. Subscription and Payment

New users begin with a free 30-day trial of the Professional plan. The trial does not require a payment method. Paid access only begins after the user selects and confirms a paid plan. Where a paid subscription is activated, applicable fees, billing period, and renewal terms will be confirmed before charges apply. Pricing is subject to change with 30 days' notice for active paid subscribers.

4. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described therein.

Kontab is a software tool designed to assist with financial record-keeping. It does not constitute accounting, tax, or legal advice. You are responsible for the accuracy of data entered into the Service and for ensuring that your financial records comply with applicable laws and regulations. You should consult a qualified professional for accounting, tax, and legal advice.

6. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property in the Service — including software, design, content, and branding — is owned by Solèy Technologies Ltd. or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service without express written permission.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Solèy Technologies Ltd. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability in any matter arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months prior to the claim.

8. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we reasonably believe your use poses a risk to other users or the Service. Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Saint Lucia. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Saint Lucia.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Refund Policy

This Refund Policy governs paid subscription payments for Kontab ("the Service"), operated by Solèy Technologies Ltd., a technology company incorporated in Saint Lucia in 2026, with its principal place of business at Cas En Bas, Gros Islet, Saint Lucia.

1. Nature of the Service

Kontab is a software service with paid plans that may be activated after trial or onboarding. During early access, billing flows may be handled manually. Where a paid plan is activated, access is granted for the agreed billing period, subject to payment of the relevant subscription fees.

2. Free Trial

Where offered, Kontab provides a free trial period of 30 days from the date of account creation. No payment method is required to start, and no charges are applied during the trial. Paid plans may be activated after trial or onboarding only after billing terms are confirmed.

3. General Refund Policy

Except as expressly provided in this Policy, paid subscription fees are non-refundable once an agreed billing period has commenced. This includes partial use of a billing period and non-use of the Service during an active paid subscription period. Cancellation prevents future charges but does not entitle the user to a refund for the current billing period.

We aim to respond to all billing and support enquiries within 2 business days. Refunds will not be issued where a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue has not been provided.

Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time by contacting support or through account and billing tools where available. Upon cancellation: access continues until the end of the current billing period; no further charges are applied; no refund is issued for unused time; and your business data remains accessible in read-only mode for 30 days following the end of the billing period, after which it may be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

7. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting support will result in immediate suspension of access to the Service pending investigation. Contact support@kontab.net to resolve billing concerns. We aim to resolve all billing concerns within 2 business days.

8. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Policy at any time. Changes will be communicated to subscribers via email at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.

9. Compliance with Applicable Law

Nothing in this Policy limits any rights available to consumers under applicable laws of Saint Lucia, including rights relating to unfair practices, misrepresentation, or failure of the Service to perform as reasonably expected.
